IT'S CLEAN...YIPPEE

So this is me jumping for joy!!! I just got back from the doctors visit and found out the results of the pet scan I took last week. IT WAS CLEAN!! No new tumors no old tumors coming back it was all pretty unremarkable. I can't tell you how good that feels, I think I will be sleeping in my bed tonight very nicely. The last couple of nights I have been racked with anxiety over these test results and had to sleep on the couch so I had some chance of falling asleep while watching movies to distract my mind. I am feeling good right now and the most relaxed I have felt all week. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts they sure did help. So there is the great news I am clean and free to live my life.....until the next pet scan. So I am going to once again life my life to the fullest as much as I can each day. These tests really put things like that into perspective. And so life will continue to go on and the choir will continue to sing hallelujah , hallelujah!

Jack loves an Adventure

Jason, Jack and I went on a little family adventure yesterday. Jason had the day off from work and so we decided to head north to the water. After a week of hard work, long hours and a fussy baby we all needed to get out.

He loved the water and loved to just run around. We were playing in the sand and he just kept looking at us and smiling. He loves when we are all together and he has attention from both of us...plus most of all he has dad which plays the way only boys can play.We sure had fun but most of all Jack had fun. He had a cute blow up alligator that he rode on and loved. It was good times and just good to be a little family again doing fun things and goin out of town for something other than doctor appointments or hospital visits.
A little movie of Jack "riding the waves" on his alligator.

Fussy Pants or no Pants at all!

It was brought to my attention that I failed to update everyone about the dreaded pet scan (thanks Mindy for the reminder) and I have to say that I am sorry I meant to but have been dealing with a pretty fussy baby. Jack has been running a light fever the last couple of days and has just been cranky pants...whether he is wearing them or not. It has been such a battle just to get his diaper changed and by the time I am done he is screaming and I don't have the strength to fight any longer so lately he has been pants free. I was battling with my blog to change the background and he was screaming the whole time....so while he is distracted while watching Cars I will update.
The Scan was pretty much how it usually goes....get injected with glucose sit in a dark room for an hour and 45 min then sit in a tube for another hour. They don't tell you anything there so I have to wait till I see my doctor on Tuesday for the results. I was super hungry and could barely walk out of there when it was all over. I however did make it to dinner and then sat through Batman. It was one long day and I am glad it is over. As soon as I find out more info I will be sure to report.

Pet Scan

So I just thought I would post because everyone keeps asking...TODAY is the dreaded day of the pet scan. I have to get them every three months. So anyways it is today at three. Jason is taking me down today and since it is a three hour test and I have to fast we are going out to eat after and hopefully will make it to the Dark Knight at the Imax at Jordan Commons. We won't know the results until next week when I have my doctors visit on Tuesday. But I have to say thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers these pet scans are always hard for me. We are praying it is just as good and clean as the last one. I will keep you updated.

blood pressure

There is nothing too exciting to report but I had an interesting week and thought I would post a questions to see if any else has this problem and what you do about it. So I went to my bi-weekly doctors appt. I drove all the way to Salt Lake on Tuesday for what I thought was a doctors visit. I however got my blood drawn and then they took my blood pressure as always...and it was really low....it was like 74 over 51. So I am around the 90/60 range usually low but that day was so strange I had been feeling fine a little tired and sometimes I get light headed. Anyways they made me wait in the waiting room for like two hours and then they tested me again and it had gone up to 84/55 or something like that. They said that my counts looked good so I was free to go but right before I left they told me that I should be aware that if I feel like half my body is going numb or my chest tightens I need to get to an ER as soon as I could because I could have a stroke..so I get this news and then they say ok see you later. So all the way home I was so worried that I was going to pass out of something. So my question is how does someone raise their blood pressure? I mean I can be stressed and it will still be low. Maybe it is just how I am but I was just wondering if any of you suffered from this? Anyways it is so very odd.....on the good news front we went up the canyon this weekend for Jack's first tinfoil dinner experience he loved it and even did a little dance when we presented him with his dinner. He was really good with staying away from the fire but I think he is still a little ways off from a whole night of camping and such...maybe next year he will go before we move.

A trip to the dinosaur park

Today Pat, Ranell, Jack and I went to the dinosaur park in Odgen. We wanted to get out and so we thought Jack would enjoy it. He was so cute with big eyes the whole time. He got a little scared when he heard the dinosaur sounds coming out of speakers buried in the bushes but other than that he had a great time. It was hot so we were appreciative of the patches of shade we went through. It was good times and a nice little day trip. Thanks Grandma and Aunt Nellie we had fun.

Life Saver

This post is mainly to thank my sister Cami for her natural intuitive mother abilities and little Grace's great example. Last time we were at Cami and Tj's, Cami had gotten this stool for Gracie so she could wash her hands and brush her teeth. She was such a good little example Jason and I were in shock and awe how good she was doing with it all. We have been struggling from day one trying to get Jack to brush his teeth and it has been such a struggle. So on my way home from a doctors appointment I ran into Target and got the exact stool aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnddd...It has been a great success. Jack WANTS to brush his teeth and wash his hands. I know it is just a stool but I didn't think of it at all, so I am just so glad I have a older sister to learn those life saving tips from. Thank you Cami and Grace you saved us and Jack's teeth and hygiene.

Back on the saddle again

Well I have another rather exciting update (for me anyways) I got back on my bike the other night and we went on a family "cruise". Jack was so shocked that I was out with them he kept pointing to me and saying "mama". It was then that Jason and I realized that I had not been on a bike ride with Jack. I have not been on my bike since July of 2006. The last ride I took was to the fireworks at willow park for the 24th of July. I was very pregnant and my legs kept hitting my belly when I peddled so I decided that it was time to stop. Jason got my bike all shiny and greased all the parts and she was looking so good and I was feeling so so...so I jumped on her and rode away with my boys. Man did it feel good to have the wind in my hair, I have missed things like that. That being 1.hair and 2. the wind and 3. the wind blowing through my hair. So there is another milestone to the recovery process and what a good milestone it was! I thought I would also include a picture of the boys to show that we are always...safety first. Plus Jack loves his helmet. He wants to wear it even if he is not on the bike.

What a weekend

I hope you all had a good Fourth of July weekend. Thank goodness for the freedom we all have and I am so glad we have a holiday to celebrate it. This weekend was one that I have been looking forward to for a long time. My birthday was on Monday and kicked things off. I turned 25 and man this birthday was special because there were some times when I didn't think I would make it. But I did and we celebrated all week. Pat and Seth took us out to eat on Monday and had my favorite, Ice Cream cake and they were kind and watched Jack while we went to a movie. Cami and Tj and Grace came up this weekend and we had a birthday dinner with them. Again I asked for a crab and shrimp boil, I love that stuff. There are some pictures of the feast and a feast it was, I ate so much that I was sick that night but it was all good, it felt good to be full. Today we spent the day with the kids. Cami took me shopping and got me some great things for my apartment and helped me formulate a plan for my living room. We were in the pool and playing in the back yard Grace and Jack were so cute together. Then we went to the cruise in. We have been waiting for this day for a long time to see how Jack reacted and he did not disappoint. He was so excited and waved and said hello to all the cars. It was great and a moment I will never forget to see his little face. This is my favorite time of the year and I am sad that it is over but it was all so very good.

What a crazy little guy

Today we had a funny morning here. I usually get up when Jack does because he wakes us up. But this morning it rolled around 8:00 and there was no Jack so I thought I would get a good start to the day and started doing some stuff around the house. It wasn't until I heard Good Things Utah on the t.v that I realized that it was already 10:00 and I still hadn't heard a peep from Jack. I decided to go check it out and when I peeked in the door this is what I saw, Jack playing with his pirate ship. I had put the ship off the floor yesterday on the shelf above his bed I thought it was too far for him to reach but I guess he wanted that ship badly. He was so proud of himself. I got a good laugh out of it. He then wanted to sit in his new chair that we got for outside so I let him eat his dry cereal while watching his show while I finished getting ready. He is such a crazy little guy.
