Benefits.

There are certain benefits of having your mother live close by. Say if you are having a sick day and just feeling off and tired she can come to the rescue. Take your son to the pool. Play dolphins with him...
Carry him all around the pool and while he holds all his nemo toys....
Make him one happy boy and get him tired so he FINALLY takes a afternoon nap....

and lets her tired daughter just sit in the shade and watch and rest.
P.A school is wearing me out and I am not even the one in school. Needless to say Jason having a long and hard week = Whitney having a hard and long week. No it is not so bad for me, my body is just taking a little longer getting used to the new family schedule.

Jack and Grace

Today Grace goes home to Utah. It has been a great trip and it has been so great to see Jack and Grace reunited. They are so cute together, and are best friends. They seem to have their own little language and play system. They grew up together and you can see that bond.

Watching a Disney classic with their Nana.Reading stories with Nana before bed
They like to hug each other.
The have to always do what the other one is doing...here they are pretending they are dogs.
Jack and Grace were hours of entertainment for the rest of us.
Theme and Water Parks were so much more fun with them. It was fun to see them get excited experiencing all the fun things we did.
Here is a video of them in action. We have spent a lot of time to just sitting and watching these two together. We will miss you Gracie girl but will see you real soon.

Cami took some great pictures of them at the water park Aquatica go to her blog to view cute pictures. Her blog is here

White Coat

Friday was Jason's White Coat Ceremony. It was a great ceremony and Jason looked real good in that coat. They had a guest speaker who spoke of the importance of being a PA and had some great things to say about Jason's class. It was a very proud moment for our little family.

I love this!

my man of medicine.
We celebrated by heading to Tampa to spend the night at my parents so we could get up early and go on a bike ride! Picture taken post ride...yes my face might or might not be a little creepy and Jason has a double chin. Not the best picture but it was good to spend some quality time together.

Jason has been such a hard working student. We are still getting used to our new lifestyle and schedules. This next week he has four tests and last week he had Three! Between PA school and raising a Jack we are both busy busy busy. We are really happy though. We love where we live and I am loving that we are ALL able to experience it together.

Locked Out

Locked out...that is what I was yesterday from 4:15 to 5:40. I was prepping dinner and boiling some chicken. I went outside to the patio to snip some cilantro. I noticed it was a little dry so I proceeded to water them. I turned to go back in and the door was locked. Jackson had locked me out! I was pretty calm the first twenty min because Jack was at the door trying to figure out how to open it. I however became very panic stricken when Jack decided that he was done with that and ran got his dump truck and ran into my bedroom to play. I knocked, kicked and pounded at the door to get his attention which didn't coax him to the door, instead he found his juice and cereal and sat watching me making a spectacle of myself. After an hour of plotting my escape route off the patio...the bushes would catch my fall...but who knew if my front door was locked...and if I had a broken or hurt leg or passed out how was that going to help Jack? Luckily there was an answer to my prayer and a lady walked by. I told her of my plight that my two year old had locked me out and I had chicken boiling on the stove. I asked her if she could check to see if my front door was open and if it was could she open the patio door. Luckily the front door was open and she was able to let me in.
Jack could care less..he only stopped momentarily to see who had come in the door but resumed his playing after he concluded that the situation was of no interest to him. All the water in my pot had evaporated and my chicken was starting to fry. I was shaking head to toe and after making a frantic call to Jason to come home my body shut down. It was the most scared feeling I have felt in a really long time. I don't care what anyone says Motherhood is a health hazard...at least I think it is at times on your heart.

When I finally got back into the house I didn't know whether I should hug or discipline Jack...but I couldn't stay mad at him for long. I mean how can you be upset with this face (even with the food in his mouth)? Let me just tell you this I will from now on always have my cell phone on my person.

My time with family.

I am back home in Orlando. Dad is back at work. Kate is away at EFY. Jake and Meredith are on a plane home and I hope Mom, Cami and Grace are resting. It was a great week, full of memories that will never be forgotten. It was a special time and we did a lot.

We had a lot of pool time.

Jack and Grace got to spend some great times with their Nana and Pepi.

It was magical at the Magic Kingdom.

We took a TON of family pictures.

We had fun at the beach.
