Spring Break 2010

Spring Break has officially begun for Jason this week. We are taking advantage of his time off and the beautiful weather. Friday we kicked things off with a trip to Magic Kingdom. Jason's pass had one day left and it expired on the 26th and my pass had black out dates starting the 27th so it worked out perfectly.
First item of busniess once we got into the park. Celebration with a dole whip!
I made sure these two got to go on the rides together because it doesn't happen too often.
Jack controlled our magic carpet.
The boys on the tea cups.
This was Jack's first time and he loved it. His eyes got so big when we started spinning.
Although we haven't started going yet Jason is looking a little tipsy! He says I caught him as he was blinking.
Saturday was a special day. Kate went through the temple for the first time. Jack and I stayed home since it was an early morning session but joined mom, dad, Jason and Kate when they got out. Jack loves going to the temple to walk around.

Saturday we also went on a bike ride. It has been a while because....
of this. We live on the second floor and my bike is heavy and we have to get Jack up and down. So needless to say we have not been on a family bike ride because I am a wimp and I need Jason!
Yesterday we hit Sea World. One of Jack's request was to watch the Shamu show and eat Shamu ice cream. How could we resist? Jason said that he is spoiled and I say that we are just making up for lost time. And for spending his first couple of months visiting his mother in and out of the hospital. If he doesn't need it I sure do!
It has been so great to have Jason around. He is catching up on his sleep and his wii playing and spending all his time with us. It has been wonderful and we still have a week to go!

So much Goodness.

What a crazy couple of days we have had!
Jack and I got the flu . It was Jack's first time and he didn't know what was going on but was a tough guy. I on the other hand did not recover as fast.
A trip to Mom and Dad's to help Kate with wedding stuff. Including the purchase of her wedding dress!
A sneak peak! Jack is doing what he saw the lady at the bridal store doing earlier. We purchased our tickets for our trip to Utah in May for the wedding and visiting family and friends. Jack and I fly in with my parents on May 5th. Then Jason will fly in the 15th and we will be there till the 27th!
Then yesterday Jack and Meredith flew in for a quick spring weather trip. We played with them at Disney's Caribbean Beach Hotel where Jake booked Meredith a room.

Jack loves hanging out with Cool uncle Jake
and he loves our soon to be Mrs. Jake Brenchley!
Yes it is official these two are newly engaged! As of last night! What a year for us, two weddings!
My siblings have really picked some really awesome people to marry!
Mom and Dad came to town and we had celebratory dinner. We greatly missed the Archers.
Jack HAD to be in the middle of the happy couple.Spring is officially here and I am looking forward to next week when Jason has spring break and we get to do a ton of stuff without ever leaving our state!

We also found out last week that Cami is having a boy!
So much goodness!

Flower and Garden Festival

Today the Jackster and I joined up with Nana and Pepi for a day at Epcot. The flower and garden festival is going on and we saw so many wonderful creations.

First when you walked in there was a huge camping scene. Daisy is the only one shown here..roasting her marshmallow. There were so many people I was unable to get a picture of the whole thing.

Then we went off to Tinkerbell's Garden and butterfly garden.
There was fun little maze among the trees.
They had fairy houses and fun things like this ship that were hidden throughout the gardens.Fun walkways and a awesome playground area.So clever.

Notice Jack's cool shades. I forgot his hat and other glasses so I bought him new ones but I made him promise that he would wear them. Oh and he wore them...more like modeled in them.
And of course he was a cheese ball.
Trying out the different cokes from around the world. Jack and my dad got hooked on China's which tastes like watermelon. We went back a couple of times for our free sample(s)!
Then we headed over to the Countries. Epcot has this thing called kid cot. They have kid stations where kids get to make a craft. Today they got to make masks and then every country they went to they got a charm and a stamp. It made it exciting and fun to see what charm went with what country. I thought it was such an awesome idea.
Pepi is helping draw the face features. Jack is into mustaches lately so his mask had to have one!
See what I mean modeling those glasses.

We had fun in the countries. We window shopped in the United Kingdom.Reminisced about how this looks like somewhere Mary Poppins would be.
Here I am pictured with my very own Mary Poppins. Remember Halloween?
Oh Peter Pan and Captain Hook. Again remember Halloween?
Nana and Jack danced in the United States.
Then they danced in Italy.
Jack was fascinated with the train town in Germany.

Then to the conclusion to our day. A visit to see Simba.
Wow we were all over the place! All of that in one day. It was awesome and what a way to welcome Spring.
It is really happening daylight savings time is tonight! Yippee it is finally lighter till later! Yes!

Stawberry Season In Florida.

Florida strawberries are at their peak right now and man do they taste good!
We picked up three containers this morning at the store and we were through our first container by three o'clock. Forget the candy! Strawberries are what the boy wants!

Well he will take the candy.....but at least he hasn't begged for it today.

The Weekend.

On Saturday my mom took me and Kate to Time Out for Women here in Orlando.
Time out for Women is a chance to have a conference from speakers in the church come to speak to us. It was like having a little piece of Utah for a day. It was nice to see a large group of LDS woman in Florida and the surrounding southern states gathered together. Most of the time you feel like the minority around women here, especially when it gets hot and you are still dressed in long shorts and you actually have sleeves on your shirt!

We got some pretty cool bags and had to show them off.

The picture quality is bad I know it was taken from Kate's phone since our camera's batteries were dead. I tried to jazz them up a bit but they are still blurry.

We met up with the boys (Dad, Jason and Jack) for a celebratory lunch, you know because of the wonderful biopsy results! Then we headed back to the conference and the boys headed back to the house. Where dad watched Jack and wore that guy out! It was awesome! It was a wonderful time away and to be with my mom and sister. I have to say though I was so emotionally fried and by Sunday night I collapsed from all the emotion and slept like you wouldn't believe. Monday I was still recovering but today... all day I have been playing catch up with all the cleaning and things that I was unable to do last week due to the surgery. It is amazing what happens when the mama is down. It even smells different in the house.
Seriously mothers are important!

Peace.

My results were miraculous! There is no sign of cancer! It has been a roller coaster of emotions these last couple of weeks. But right now,
I am at peace.

Thank you for all your prayers, love and support...throughout all our ups and down.
What a life, what a life we have.

Battlewounds

It is a good thing Jason digs scars because Monday I went in for surgery and got two more.
I have had two lumps in my neck that they have been watching for the last year and my last pet scan showed some activity. So they went in to biopsy them. There is one on each side. However they were only able to remove one. They were small and I will find the results out tomorrow.
Jack and I in all our bed head glory.

I have my moments of peace but I am nervous for the results tomorrow.
I am praying they will be good because cancer sucks.
