Polaroids of our time in Logan

We spent the last week in Logan.
It was fun to catch up with friends and family. I was sick and the cold rainy weather did a number on my body so we were not able to visit a whole lot of people but I was really thankful for all the friends that I got to see in Logan and those who I got to spend time with at Kate's wedding. We also went out to eat at all our favorite places we have missed. Jason and I had made a list of all the places we wanted to go to eat and we hit them all thanks to the help of Pat and Seth.
We even braved the cold and had a picnic up the canyon one day with Grandma and Grandpa.

 A rare sight.
Jason always tell Jack and I we are going soft it was funny to see him all wrapped up in a blanket.
Jack got in some quality time with his Grandparents.

We caught up on our movie watching.
We finally got to see How to Train your Dragon in 3-D!

The picture is blurry our batteries were dying  this was the last picture I got in Logan. But I wanted one with Ranell and Jack.

We enjoyed  a Tiger's blood sno cone. Oh how we have missed them.
We played around in Grandma and Grandpa's nice back yard. With soft grass, another big difference between Utah and Florida.

It was nice just to be able to do things with Jason without time restraints and to catch up on our family time. It has been such a welcome break from the hectic schedule that Jason's last semester brought.

Wedding Dinner and Dance

The wedding dinner and dance was held at a beautiful garden at Thanksgiving Point

After we ate Dad and Kate started the dancing with a dad and daughter dance.
Then dad handed her off to her husband.
The rest of the night was a full out dance party. It was fun to sit back and watch all my family dance and party. Kate always said she wanted a dance party at her wedding. Cami posted dance pictures and even the videos you can see them here.
Jack was not feeling good but the little guy rallied to dance.
Kate and Griffin we sent off on their honeymoon with bubbles.
Grace and Jack patiently waiting with their bubble guns.

Kate's Wedding Day.

Kate and Griffin got married May 8th in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. It was a beautiful sealing ceremony and they were so happy it was wonderful.

When Jack saw Kate come out of the Temple with Griffin he started to cry.
He realized that she was married and that he was no longer her Valentine.

 The family. Kate was glowing.
I stole this picture from Talana. Thanks girl.
Jack and Grace played in between all the picture taking.
Jake and Meredith
Jack was not feeling so good that day. He broke out in a fever the night before so he wasn't very happy. First to have Kate married off and then he was sick and tired. There was a lot of pouting. At least he looked good doing it!
The weather turned out to be so nice. All the spring flowers were out in bloom. It was just all so perfect.

Wedding Preparations

Kate got married on Saturday so Friday  was one busy day.
Cami did the flowers for the wedding and her garage was turned into flower central.

Dad and Cami hard at work. I love that belly Cami has. It has been so fun to see her pregnant again.
Friday night we had a shower with family and friends for the wedding couple.
Kate and her friends from Florida Alexia and Talana.
Those two. They both pulled these faces when I asked to take their picture.

The best part of the dinner. Dessert...yummy brownies.

Then after we had dinner it was inside to open presents and to watch the wedding slide show. Everyone brought their favorite kitchen items for Kate and Griffin to start their new kitchen and I had to add most of them to my list to get. So many fun kitchen gadgets I was in heaven.
After the party more prep for the wedding. Aunt Meredith got Gracie all ready for the big day. What a cute sight it was.
The rest of the night we tried to help Cami finish the flowers. It was a fun time spent with my siblings just talking and being around each other. The later it got the funnier they got. It was one of those nights that I won't forget.

Utah!

We have made it to Utah!
Jack and I flew out of Orlando with Nana and Pepi on the 5th.
Jack was such a big boy with his backpack and even carried on his own suitcase.

It is so much easier to travel with Jack now that he is older.
Jack however did spill his drink all over me at the beginning of the flight. So I had to sit with wet pants for four hours. That happens every time we fly I swear.
But the plane ride was totally worth it to  see all my family. We have been having a great time.
It is great to see Jack and Grace together again and Mom and Dad with all their grandchildren. Cami and TJ had us all at their house. It is the best party house. Our time was spent together, reading stories with Nana, good meals, fun time in the Archer's backyard and playhouse and just being all together!

May First

It is May 1st and that means two things.
1. It is May Day!
Growing up me and my sisters had fun being garden elves. On May first my mom would help us put together flower bundles to leave on the doorsteps of some of our neighbors. We took turns running up to the porch, leaving the flowers, ringing the doorbell and hiding. I still remember the face of June Reading (a lovely lady that lived in our neighborhood) light up when she saw the flower bundle. I even have a letter that she sent us one year.
Cami and Mom I am assuming you don't have this since it was in my book so I will share the letter.

This is what it says.
Logan, Utah
May 3rd 1989
Dear Folks,
Some Elves visited me on Monday evening. I glimpsed them running from behind a hiding place. I thought that they looked the Brenchley children. Could it be? I arranged the May basket flowers into an arrangement for my coffee table. Whenever I look at them I think to myself "How lucky I am to live near such sweet Elves." I Love you all.
June Reading.

This also got me thinking. I remember leaving flowers on the doorstep of Brother and Sister Hill that lived just around the block corner. They are Jason's grandparents! They had both passed away before we had gotten married but that was fun to know that I was a little elf to them as well.
Yesterday Jack helped me pick out some flowers and last night I put our May day flower baskets together. I had so much fun making these and look forward being a garden elf with Jack tomorrow delivering them  on our way to church.

2. It's Mom and Dad's Wedding Anniversary!
Today they celebrated their 35th!

Jack and I got to celebrate with them at Hollywood Studios. They were so cute with their Anniversary pins! Everyone was telling them "Happy Anniversary"! It was great. They are still so much in love just like a couple of kids. I love it and them!
May 1st also brought our first day of 90 degree weather. Jack's and my pass expire while we are in Utah so today was the end of Disney season. We will meet again Disney when it is cooler!
We go to Disney a lot and each time I think we have taken all the pictures we need but today Jack wanted pictures with all the cool cars found throughout the park. His pose in each of these pictures was too good not to post.
The cross leg thing is totally new...I don't know why he had to pose like that but he did.

Today also marks the anniversary of my very first chemo. That was SIX years ago. It made me realize how much my life has changed and what a different person I am because of what happened six years ago.
I was so weary of the future sitting there during that first treatment. If only the now me could go back and tell that girl where she was going to be in six years I would. I wouldn't tell her how much she had to get through to get to this spot. But all I would have to do is show her (me) pictures of the two boys in my life and that would be more than enough. Because the me right now sure thinks they were all worth it.
Happy May 1st!
