Sleepover!

Kate and Mom came for a sleepover! Kate was checking out her school and work options here in Orlando and we had a party. Jack with his precious aunt Kate. He loves to snuggle with her.
Our future dental hygienist......Jack was so good brushing his teeth with her, much better than he has ever been with me.
Group photo!
Hi Nana...
Jason had new patients to practice on! Kate was a great sport letting Jason practice his head and neck examination.
It was great having them here! I am excited for Kate to come live with us. Jack is so cooperative with her. It is also nice to have an adult to talk to and do things with.

It was a good time Kate and Nana you are welcome anytime..we love visitors. Speaking of visitors...we are SO excited to see you Cami, Grace, Jake and Meredith!

Fatherversary Day Celebrations.

What is Fathervesary you ask? Well tomorrow is our anniversary and this year it is also lands on Father's day. My parents had a stake activity in Orlando last night so they spent the night. We took that opportunity to take an early morning bike ride and have a big lunch for father's day and to celebrate a little early. Today was my first real ride on my bike. We didn't go very far but Jason was a great instructor on all things road cycling. There was this nice trail with some incredible scenery. It felt good to be out on the bike with Jason, something I have been looking forward to for four years we have been married. It was also a great break for Jason. It has been a hectic week of school and studying so he deserved to do something he really loves. He is so happy and content on a bike.
(Jason took this picture while riding and holding the camera by his side, impressive no?)

It was a good ride for me. It felt so very nice to exercise again. Plus I think I have fallen in love with spandex,it feels great especially in hot, muggy weather.
That is a reassuring sight...two bikes STILL on top of the car in tact. This was our first car ride with the bikes on top since the "wreckage."
We had a father's day lunch and we had crab! I love that stuff and have been looking forward to making it here in Florida. Those suckers were big and meaty.
The lunch bunch. (sorry dad I caught one with your eyes closed)
During lunch there was a knock on the door. It was a flower delivery! Jason ordered some flowers for our anniversary. Four years and this man still sends me flowers. He has from the very beginning and I love it. Jack helped him give them to me.
What I like about crab is it is so satisfying when you pull a huge chunk out of the shell in tack. Dad got a good one.
Jack wanted his picture taken with his crab. He played with them more than he ate them, but at least it kept him happy and busy.
I ate a lot!
June 21st is a special day and I am looking forward to it. I will probably watch my wedding video a couple of times whilst eating a lot of cake...to make up for the fact that I didn't hardly eat any on our actual wedding day. I will share some with Jason...probably...it is our anniversary and fathers day after all. I am nice like that!

I'm So Excited!

In less than two weeks SHE is flying in...........

with HER...........

and then THEY are flying in as well.....
so that all of them and THESE THREE can meet....

HERE for my BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!The siblings will be together again in Florida... this has not happened in almost four years! It is going to be a dream come true. We are going to miss T.J though. Hopefully Jason will be able to join us in the evening for dinner and some rides. It is going to be a party!

Noticing the differences.

We have now lived in our new State a month and it has been interesting how Jack has been noticing the differences between our life in Utah and our new life here. The other day he looked out the window and asked where the mountains went. We now have to take the plane to see Grandma and Grandpa and the car to see Nana and Pepi. There are palm trees instead of pine trees. We go out and play outside before the nap instead of after. We have also discovered a few other things as well such as.....
The heat makes us crazy..we make head dresses out of sewing project scraps.
Chocolate melts fast so if you have some fudge hide in your dark closet so it doesn't melt....and if you can get by without a shirt go for it.
You can get real close to the wildlife.
There is a big difference in skin tone....one who lives in Florida = Dark, one who has been living in Utah during the winter= white.
You have the ability to fly! At least for a couple of seconds.

How close is close?

I have been asked how close... is "we live close to Jason's school ." Well here are some pictures. This first picture is from the back of Jason's school by the bike rack. That trail takes you to the apartments.
This picture is in front of the entrance to the apartments from the trail. Jason's school is across the water. He is door to door in three minutes.
Here are some other pictures taken on the rest of our bike ride . The bridge on some sections of the pathway around the lake. It is about a mile. There are a few docks on the lake. Where tons of people fish despite the million signs telling them not too.
We stopped at the pool on our way home, to dip our feet in.

Checking out the O.C

So we live in Orange County...yeah that is right the O.C and we took the opportunity to check out the free touristy things to do here. Tonight we went to a place called Old Town where they have Friday night cruise. All these old cars come and have a parade. The parade took place after Jack's bed time so we just walked around and saw the cars. Jack was enthralled and pointed out all the "cool cars". He didn't want to leave and even told us he "doesn't go home anymore." We had to coax him into the apt with a Popsicle. We will probably be going back in the near future.

Check out this awesome monster truck! Jack was afraid of it. I just want to know how in the world do you acutally get in it?This week we also took a trip to Downtown Disney. The ballon behind us acutally goes up in the air...for a fee of course. Tonight on our way to Old Town we saw it in flight. Pretty cool. Jack obviously didn't want his picture taken,
On the School front with Jason. This week he has been involved in skits, scavenger hunts, get to know you games. He is relieved that this week is over and is actually looking forward to getting started. It has been nice for Jack and I though because he has been home early and we got to do some fun stuff this week because he had the time. We have played a lot of wii games. Jack MAKES us play. Oh it is a hard life.

And so it begins.

Today was Jason's first day. Here is his first day of school picture.
Jason said the day was not so bad. He got home around 1:30. I guess they did some get to know you things. Jason loves those types of things! One funny thing that he told me from the day was when they went over the dress code they spent way too much time telling the girls what they could wear. Then they mentioned a casual day where you could where shorts...but they had to be to the knee. I guess there was a lot of rumbling and someone said that they don't even make shorts for girls that long. Hmmm really? I could have sworn I have seen them! Things sure are different here. Anyways tonight we had a celebration. Some good luck cake and ice cream. Jack liked helping clean the bowl.
and we made Jason a card....some quality drawings.

A Watermelon Thank You.

Thank you Nana and Pepi for the delicious WATERMELON! Jack has thoroughly enjoyed it!
(One happy boy...in the last picture he wanted to do a "cheers" with our watermelon slices)

To come..an update and pictures of Jason's first day. I made him pose for one of those first day of school pictures. I don't care if it is Graduate school it needed to be documented!
