It's Official!

It is official we are now Florida residents! We have our Florida licenses and license plates! We finally had the time to wait at the DMV to get them. It was sad to turn in our Utah licenses but it was exciting as well. Here is Jason , with Jack helping of course, taking off the Utah plates.
Putting the Florida plate on.
Our Utah keepsakes.
Today I get to go get my library card finally. I am so very excited!

On another note our company has gone. We miss them already. Jason still has one week left on his break. I think it will be spent like this....
Just relaxing and doing things we don't do together when Jason is in school. (yes we are watching TV on our lap top. We do not have cable because Jason has a problem turning the TV off. It is not a bad thing when he is on break but is a problem when he is in school.)

Over night Beach Trip Part 1

We spent the night in Treasure Island on the beach. It was about a two hour drive from our apartment. We stopped on the way to eat lunch at Steak n' Shake. A request from Pat and Seth that we were more than happy to fulfill. Jack kept us occupied in the back.
playing around with the camera.
We got to the hotel 15 min after the time we could check in, it was perfect timing. The room was nice with a full kitchen family room and two bedrooms and bathrooms. This was the view from our hotel balcony. We were right at the end so are view was just of the beach.

I popped a lasagna into the oven and we headed to the beach while it cooked. This sand castle was already built but Jack saw the moat and immediately thought race track and began racing his cars.

Pat and Seth in the ocean..the gulf of Mexico to be exact.
Our hotel.

Seth was always in the water it was so nice and warm. Jack loved chilling with his papa in the water.
Just as we were getting ready to go in there rolled in some dark clouds so we out of the rain just in time. We had a nice dinner put Jack to bed and played Yahtzee it was enjoyable evening.

Over night Beach Trip Part 2

The second day started out with a morning trip to the beach. Jack was super excited to wake up eat some breakfast, put on his suit and head to the beach. We all did some relaxing and just took in the beautiful morning weather.
Jason dug Jack a race track and he was in heaven. Give that kid some cars and a track and he is good.

One of the things I really miss about Logan is the shaved iced and tigers blood. We found this shaved ice shack and I was so excited. When we got there, there was not a tigers blood listed on the board so I was settling for another flavor. However right before the syrup was going to be poured on my ice Jason saw Sharks blood. It was tigers blood but the lady said she called it sharks blood here on the beach. I was in heaven, it was just as good as I remembered it! I like this picture as Pat captioned it "Whitney Balls in front of Sno Balls!"
We headed to another beach but just as we got there a huge thunderstorm rolled in. We were able to eat our picnic but made it to the car just in time for the down pour.
We had a shrimp boil at my parents house and it was good good good. It was quite the feast. Thanks again mom.

We spent the night at mom and dad's and I had to get a picture with Jack and his grandparents all together. He is one loved little boy.

Sea World

Yesterday was Sea World. Kate had the day off from work and got to come. We did many things. It was super humid and hot as you can see from the camera...severe condensation (it was the first picture of the day)
We saw many sea creatures.
We got hot and sweaty. Jack sat there and asked for his picture to be taken. So we did.
The penguins
At the Sea Lions. They were getting fed so Jack was too interested in that to look at the camera.
SHARKS!
Pictures in front of the most tame Shark in the park. A topiary one!
(Jack is doing his scary pose)

We even had some melt downs and fussy moments....
My favorite part of the day was watching Jack during the Shamu show. He would do the same actions with a Shamu stuffed animal Grandma let him play with. When the trainer feed the Shamu so did Jack. He made it fly and flip. It was the cutest thing.
Today we are traveling over to the gulf side to spend the night at the beach....... the fun continues!

Daytona Beach

We went to Daytona Beach today. What a great beach day it was, the weather and the water was perfect. Here is a little run down of how the day went.

Jack and Jason sat and played in the sand.
Jack loved destroying Jason's sand castles.

While Pat and Seth relaxed and watched the boys and the ocean.
Seth called work to let them know that he was at the beach.
Jack ran...and Jason chased him.

Jack chilled on the beach with his dumper and played in the sand.
I relaxed and Jack got in a little mom time.
Pat and Seth took a walk down the beach.

Jack played and ran and had a great time with his grandparents....and was a cheese ball on the way home.
We ended the day with Grandma reading books.
We read stories about monsters while jack wore his monster shirt already for bed.

Seth was so excited to be able to drive onto the beach and down it. His exact words when we got onto the beach was "isn't this something." He had a smile on his face the whole time. Jack on the other hand just wanted to park to get to the beach! Enjoy the video glimpse into our beach day.
