I sobbed it was so good.

Let me state this first...I enter a lot of contests and I have NEVER won anything. That losing streak was broken when I won two tickets to a screening of The Help. I was so excited that I won but it sent me over the moon that I won something I really really wanted!  I went tonight and took my Mama it was like Christmas. As the time got closer and closer my heart beat faster and faster, then the movie began and it was a rush of emotion. I have never had that kind of movie experience before. It was an amazing movie. My mom and I cried throughout, all the way out and to the car. If you loved the book the movie does not disappoint! It was night I will never forget.

The Florida Aquarium

Last week we took a trip to the Florida Aquarium to experience some magic under the water.
I love this quote that is displayed by the entrance of one of the exhibits.

Sweet Nana got us in with her pass.
We also got to spend time there with Aunt Lynn, Cousins Lindsay and Baby Dakota.
Jack being a crab in his shell. See his claws?
The splash park outside was the perfect place to play and cool off.
Captain Jack and his ship.
Jack had so much fun pretending to be a pirate
shooting water cannons and taking fire!
Riding the sea life
 and catching waves.

Summer Delights

We have this large amazing tree covered in moss right outside our window.
The tree drapes over a driveway right next to our complex that is only used for emergencies making it the perfect place to ride your bike on a Summer morning.
We took advantage of it's generous shade this morning.
Jack did several laps occasionally stopping.
One time to take a rest.
Knowing Jack he was probably creating some wonderful race scenario in his head to act out on his bike once riding commenced.

He stopped again for one of the sweetest reasons.
To give me a kiss.

This is how it all played out. Jack was out riding while slowing and stopping his bike says "oh I forgot." got off his bike, ran over to me and kissed me on the cheek. My heart melted.

Truly a year round delight, that Jackson.

W, X, Y and Z

I realized I never posted the remainder of our alphabet weeks. We both kind of lost our steam with these last four letters. There were not as many projects but it was a real gauge to me to see how far Jack has come. He didn't need the activities and actually wanted to do his workbook pages, when at the beginning it was the opposite. He wouldn't practice his letters unless there was an activity. Hooray for Jack, he is now a letters writing champ.

W is for

X is for
and
Jason has been working with Jack learn some anatomy. Here are some of Jack's favorites that he drew all by himself on his skeleton! We did this project by drawing with a white crayon on white paper and then covering it with black tempera paint. As it dried the X-ray "developed".
Y is for
Trying to get Jack to do the warrior pose. He is actually pretty good at it all by himself he just got distracted by the camera.
Z is for
We made a zoo with all of Jack's plastic animals, linkin logs and legos. It had a train and even a parking lot. All three of us had fun putting this together.

This is how our morning began...

Explanation?
Jack wanted to swing on the curtains like Batman does.
It didn't work.

Our Week with Jake and Meredith

Jake and Meredith were in town for the week.  It is hard being away from all my siblings but when we get together, there are some good times.
I am so appreciative to Meredith!
She worked so hard with Jack getting him excited to want to swim and go under the water.
It was also a great help for Jack to see how cool it was to go under water because cool Uncle Jake did it the whole time he was in the pool. They were the cutest pool buddies.
One night we had a picnic at the pool and then a little swim time with the whole family. It was so awesome to have everyone just playing in the pool together.
Jake still has some connections at Disney so we got in free one day! It was awesome, however I only took two pictures. We got caught in a torrential downpour and Jake, Meredith and I got soaked and our day was cut short. We were all devastated because we had park hopper passes and only got to hit one park.
It's tradition to take a picture with Jack and whoever is with us at Disney with Lightening and Mater.
It was Jake and Meredith's turn!
I was just as excited as Jack to see Pooh Bear.
The couple left this morning but before they left we had a good bye brunch. Jack was exhausted from all the partying that I had to get him out of bed to make it there by ten!
Still in his pj's and dressed up like Buzz. Always the entertainer.
Later he and Pepi got real creative
Me and my brother, we are tight.
Funny fact: my eyes have changed to his eyes! Before my eye color was dark brown now they are hazel with green in them just like his. Funny fact #2 we have the same blood dna so if I was to leave blood at the scene of a crime they would not know it was a female and it would be pinned down to Jake.  I am serious we really are that tight!
Jake and Meredith drove this trip so they could take Sheldon home with them. They had made him a little area to make it a good trip. Sheldon was excited and ready to go.
What a great week it was. I hated to see it end but look forward to our next adventures when we are  together again.
