Jack has been working for a while for a bow and arrow. He wanted one to be just like Hawkeye from Avengers and then when we saw Brave the desire grew. He saved his dollars he got from Grandma and Grandpa while in Utah. He did a lot of chores and Nana and Pepi also contributed a couple of dollars. We drove to Toy R' Us to pick it up one afternoon after school and then headed to the park to check it out. It was so fun watching him run around with the arrows in his shirt. It had been raining so there was no one on the playground so he could go wild.
Now that he has his bow and arrow when we ask him to continue to do his chores he responds that he doesn't need to work anymore now that he has his bow and arrow! As a good parent I reminded him that the bow and arrow can now be held for ransom if chores are not done.
