A Birthday and Good bye party.

Mom and Dad made the trip to our house today...we love our Saturdays together. We got together to celebrate mom's birthday (which is tomorrow) and to say good bye to Kate. She is leaving on Monday for Utah.
We have enjoyed having Kate live with us. She has been Jack's best playmate My girls night in and out partner and has been a lifesaver to me. We will miss her but we know that she is starting a new chapter in her life and becoming a wife! (weird but good) As she has been packing and trying to determine how to condense her room into two suitcases. It is exactly what happened with me. Fitting all my stuff in my suitcases to move to Utah to be with my fiance. What we do for a good man! It is a bittersweet time but I know as soon as she gets to be with Griffin and starts to realize that she will be able see and be with him everyday that homesick feeling with decrease. That sure was the case for me with Jason. We always knew this day would come but man I never would have thought it would be that fast. Time really has flown.
We went out to lunch at Pei Wei's and then to Menchies at request of the birthday girl and for one last time with Kate. Oh how we love that place.

Jack and usually share and he always dominates the bowl. But then it wouldn't be my child if he didn't want everything I have.
We then headed home to have lemon cream cupcakes and to sing to the birthday girl.
Jack enjoyed spending time with his grandparents. This is a typical sight of dad, he can sleep anywhere..his excuse today was all the fresh air!
We all had a good time but missed Jason. The poor guy is studying his brains out for a huge comprehensive test he has Monday. He had three intense tests this week and three again next week.We hardly see him but that is where the glorious internet comes in handy. We are able to instant message and he gets to see what we are doing through the blog! So we are happy for all the little things that keep us connected!
Best of luck Kate and Happy Birthday Mom!
We love you both so very much!
