4th of July 2010

Our fourth of July celebration 2010.
For the second year in a row we traveled down to Grandma and Granddad's house in Venice Florida to celebrate Granddad John's Birthday.  It was so fun to be with all of the Russell side. There was some great book talk and exchanges with the girls. Tour de France watching for all the guys. Even Jack had a little buddy, Connor Uncle Jim's grandson, to play with. We only caught glimpses of them as they ran by. Like every year there was plenty of amazing food and snacks.
What a great man and Grandfather John Russell is to us all. It was fun to celebrate his life. He even gave gifts to the boys on his birthday. Three cars each! He had kept them in his pockets until just the right time.
Since Cami is very pregnant she could not be out here to celebrate with us this year. She being the one in charge of the traditional 4th of July parade. I tried my best to carry it on this year.

It was raining on and off but we took advantage of the break in the rain to get in some pool time.
There was a huge water fight with everyone getting involved in the action.
After wearing ourselves out in the pool it was time to head home. Stopping at the beach to watch the fireworks on our way. It was fun to see all the different fireworks shows up and down the coast.
I was so glad Jason could be with us this year.

I love this holiday and I love why we celebrate it.
God bless America!
