We had a wonderful Easter Holiday with a lot of good things and activities happening all week. The celebrations kicked off Wednesday with an egg hunt and party with our playgroup.
This was while the kids were waiting for the hunt to start. They were fascinated with the fountains.
Saturday we had a Spring Fling at the church. Mom was the mastermind behind this activity. The kids had an egg hunt, got their faces painted, made windsocks, decorated eggs. The girls made bonnets with flowers and the boys made Easter caps with feathers. At the end of the activity the kids gathered around for an Easter story read by the Bishop.
Jack with his Easter cap. They were so darling. Dad was in charge of the hats and it was so cute to see him outfitting the hats for the kiddies.
Easter morning finally came. Jack is getting older so we hid his basket this year he was so cute looking for it.Then we told him to go find the basket the Easter Bunny left for mom and dad. He walked right to it.
Our meetings at church were wonderful. I love being in Primary and listening to the messages that the leaders share with the children. They are so simple and so beautiful. Also to hear those children sing the songs about Jesus and Easter touched me heart in so many ways.
Later that afternoon we spent some wonderful time together as a family with Mom and Dad. Jack got to try out his new pool toy and pillow pet he got from the Easter bunny.
We love the weekend especially since we get to spend time with Jason. Jack loves being with his Dad.
One of the hings that I love about Easter are the decorations.
Mom had some fun things around the house.
Mom and I had fun putting together the Easter feast. At one point we were both in the kitchen Mom making her cake and I was rolling out my rolls it was great to be together.
Mom's darling cake finished.
It was a white cake with lemon curd. So delicious.
After the week of festivities and hunts Jack has quite the collection of eggs. I took this picture last night which I think sums up what a week it has been for Jack. Look at all those eggs.
As Jack gets older it gets better and better with holidays and it is so wonderful to be able to celebrate together.
