Our Memorable Trip to Moab

One thing that I haven't done all my years while living here in Utah is go to Moab and to Arches National Park. Well this weekend we took that trip. It was quite a memorable trip to say the least. The trip started out a little rocky. We decided to take our road bikes so I could break in my bike...well we had both of bikes on top of our car and about an hour into a trip we hear a pop and off flies Jason's new bike. It was in pieces and the look of Jason holding his broken bike still brings tears to my eyes. We stopped at Jason brothers house and stowed the broken bike along with my bike. We were wondering if we should continue on our trip. We didn't want to go home just to sulk all weekend so we decided to try to have a good time and continue on our trip.
We got to Moab Saturday night late so we rented a little cabin it was perfect. It had a shower and heat! We read stories in bed till we were all sleepy. Jack loved the bunk beds.

Jack wanted this picture taken he sat on this rock posed and said "cheese" so I took the picture! Jack was a great little hiker and ran up most of the trails! He loved playing in the red dirt.
Jack at our campground at slickrock, while we were setting up he played with his cars and enjoyed lunch. What a life.
It was jeep Safari weekend and there were so many Jeeps Jack went crazy watching them all and we had fun pointing them out to him.

Some pictures of Sunday afternoon. We went to dead horse point and drove and listened to conference it was great....just thought I would include documentation of what it was like in the car.
We were going to stay till Monday afternoon but things were not looking so good after we ate dinner. Jack was throwing a fit and the weather report had changed from what it was forcasted so at seven we packed up the car and headed home...we arrived home at 1:30 am with the help of energy drinks and movies. It was one crazy trip, needless to say we are glad to be home.
In reference to the two movies below the first one is Jack's meat dance. He loves meat and sings a little song and dances we FINALLY got it! The second one is on Jack's binkie in the fire. This is what really made us realize it was going to be a long night. Jason acidentally threw Jack's binkie " bubbie" to Jack, into the fire. He was so upset. We had a back up but Jack has a huge attachment to all of them. Whew picture overload...but that is the main reason I blog to share pictures..... so here you go!
